"We've been from Boston to California, and I have never had such
a great online assistance tool for places to stay, where
they are in location to the school and all kinds of tips."

“I’m not from around here. Now I can actually find things to do other than
on my own campus.”

Kyla Dannelke, Lancaster General College of Nursing and Health Sciences

www.campuscentral.org
Launched in 2005, Campus Central was a 10-campus collaboration ensuring that the Lancaster region’s 17,000 college students have easy access to all that the area has to offer. Focused on the enrolled student experience, Campus Central sought to enhance their appreciation for the region by encouraging them to "think outside the books.” By encouraging exploration of the area and participation in the local community, Campus Central fostered more personal connections between the region and its college students, helping them to appreciate the "easy urban" atmosphere of downtown Lancaster and the surrounding area that makes this one of the best places in America to be a college student.

The Campus Central program included a web site and e-newsletter, a popular Student Guide, a Discount Tag Program supported by local businesses, and several Campus Central-sponsored events throughout the year, ranging from a yearly back to school festival (Rock the Park) to seasonal festivities like College Nights with the Barnstormers Minor League Baseball team.
